Post-Pandemic Economy: Ukraine’s Perspectives
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant negative consequences to the global economy. We still experience some uncertainty about the future, especially given the spread of the new Delta variant. However, mass vaccination has already begun in most countries, giving hope for a return to a normal life. That is why the governments of many countries, including Ukraine, are increasingly focusing on finding optimal solutions to quickly bring their own economies to pre-crisis levels and support businesses.

UkraineInvest Talks: Make in UA. Investment opportunities for Regional Development
Attracting investments to develop the economy is not an easy yet extremely important task in terms of overcoming the effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic. In order to improve Ukraine's investment climate, the Government has already approved all bylaws for the practical implementation of the Law on state support of investment projects with significant investments. Moreover, the Verkhovna Rada recently adopted amendments to the law on industrial parks, which provide for increased state support for their operation.

Localization of International Companies Production in Ukraine: New Incentives and Opportunities. Kharkiv Investment Potential

In recent years, Ukraine has set a course for extensive growth in the raw materials sectors of the economy. At the same time, there are no cases of successful commodity economies in the world. Therefore, it is important to refocus as soon as possible on developing a high added value economy by attracting investments and technology from leading international companies.

Financing the Development of Municipalities
Cooperation with International Financial Organizations

International financial organizations, including the World Bank, the EBRD, the EIB, etc., have been reliable partners of Ukraine for decades and have invested billions of dollars in the Ukrainian economy over the years of independence. The special value of these organizations for Ukraine is that their programs most often target sectors and regions that find it most difficult to raise money from alternative sources, e.g. municipal infrastructure development.

Municipal Projects

International financial organizations offer many soft loan programs aimed at developing municipal infrastructure. At the same time, funds utilization under such programs is often extremely slow. Establishing efficient communication between cities and the central government within implementation of these programs is the first and most important step towards solving the problem of inefficient utilization of funds.
